Our Inspiring Legacy..?

Our foundation is built upon the extraordinary life and values of Late Mr. D R Shanmukappa. He was a truly kind-hearted and selfless man, deeply committed to the well-being of everyone around him. As a respected social activist and agriculturist in our village and surrounding areas of Bengaluru, Karnataka, he was always ready to lend a hand to anyone in need.

Mr. Shanmukappa tirelessly worked to uplift the community, with a special focus on education and women's empowerment. He believed firmly in the potential of every individual, regardless of gender, and held immense regard for the strength of women. His dedication to learning was so profound that, before our village even had an official school, he opened his own home to ensure children had a place to learn. During that time, he and our entire family sacrificed personal comfort, living together in a single small room, all for the sake of the community's future.

As his fifth daughter, I have been profoundly inspired by his unwavering commitment and values. It is my deepest wish to carry forward his remarkable legacy by establishing a girls’ orphanage and an old age home. Here, we provide care, respect, and vital opportunities to those who need it most.

I am not alone in this endeavor. My four sisters and the next generation—my niece and nephews—have all joined hands to ensure his vision continues to thrive.

Our Trust's Aim

Our core aim is simple: to uphold the legacy of compassionate service set by Mr. Shanmukappa. We do this by providing a safe, respectful, and nurturing environment for orphaned girls and the elderly, empowering them through dedicated care, essential education, and unwavering dignity.
