Empowering Young Women: Careers in the Armed Forces

As part of its commitment to empowering young women through education and career guidance, D.R. Shanmukhappa Charitable Trust participated in an awareness programme on "Empowering Young Women: Careers in the Armed Forces", hosted by the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) and the National Cadet Corps (NCC) of Jindal College for Women.

The programme aimed to inspire female students to explore rewarding career opportunities in the Indian Armed Forces while fostering leadership, discipline, patriotism, and confidence among the youth.

The session featured Major Ganapathi Hegde (Retd.), Former Army Officer, as the keynote speaker, who shared valuable insights into life in the Armed Forces, career pathways, eligibility, and the qualities required to serve the nation.

Representing D.R. Shanmukhappa Charitable Trust, Ms. Preethi Patel, Founder & Project Head, addressed the students on the importance of women's empowerment, leadership, social responsibility, and the role of young women in shaping a stronger and more progressive society. Her session encouraged students to pursue ambitious career goals with confidence and determination.

The programme witnessed enthusiastic participation from students, faculty members, NCC cadets, and the college administration. It served as an inspiring platform to motivate young women to break barriers, embrace leadership opportunities, and consider careers in national service.

Through initiatives like these, D.R. Shanmukhappa Charitable Trust continues to promote education, awareness, youth development, and women's empowerment by collaborating with educational institutions and community organizations across Karnataka.
